There are a total of 468 admitted patients waiting for beds in hospitals nationwide on Monday morning.

There are 293 in emergency departments while 175 are in wards, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people on beds, with 116, followed by University Hospital Galway and Sligo University Hospital.
