Gardaí have arrested and charged a man following an armed robbery in Ballybrack, Co. Dublin.

At approximately 5:25 pm, a man entered a commercial premises on Church Road and threatened staff with a knife. A sum of cash was stolen, and the male left the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Following enquiries and ongoing investigations as part of Operation Táirge, a man in his 40s was arrested on Tuesday evening in Dublin city centre and was detained at a Garda Station in the DMR East.

He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court on Wednesday morning.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
