There were a total of 440 patients waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals on Monday morning.

The INMO (Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation) Trolley Watch figures show that 286 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while the remaining 154 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There were a total of 75 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 40 at Letterkenny University Hospital and 28 at Mayo University Hospital and St Vincent's University Hospital.
