The Army bomb disposal team has been called to a property in Gorey, Co Wexford, after a suspect device was discovered this morning.

A cordon has been established around the residence by gardaí, and they have called the Army bomb disposal team for assistance.

It is understood the area cordoned off is in the Gleann an Ghairdín estate, which is in walking distance of Gorey Main Street. 

A Garda spokesperson told BreakingNews.ie: "Gardaí are currently in attendance at a residence in Gorey, Co Wexford following the discovery of a suspect device this morning Thursday 27th March 2025.

"A cordon has been established by Gardaí and the assistance of the Amy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit has been requested.

"There is no further information available at this time."
