A man has been charged in connection with a shot being fired from a gun in Co Leitrim.

It happened in Killargue on Friday when Leitrim gardaí responded to an emergency call at a residential location. The Armed Support Unit also attended the scene.

Shortly after 3:20 pm, following an intervention by the Armed Support Unit, including the deployment of a Taser, a man was arrested outside the residence, and a firearm was seized.

A man in his 30s who was arrested will appear before a special sitting of Sligo District Court on Sunday evening.
