An extra 6,000 parking spaces will be available at Dublin Aiport from next week.

The old QuickPark car park, which closed in 2020, near Dublin Airport in Santry, is to reopen next Monday, March 10th.

The 6,000 space car park is reopening under the Park2Travel brand, just six minutes from Dublin Airport.

An ongoing squeeze on parking space at the country’s biggest airport had angered travellers as travel resumed after Covid lockdowns.

A 24/7 shuttle bus service with quick transfers every 12 minutes during peak times will be on offer, on the monitored and patrolled facility with enhanced security.

There will also be dedicated on-site assistance available at all times for customer support, alongside 24/7 accessibility.

The car park will also feature charging stations for electric vehicles.

The facility will be managed by APCOA, Europe's largest parking company.

APCOA Ireland's managing director Neil Cunningham said that they "look forward to welcoming customers and giving them a convenient, secure and sustainable airport parking experience.”

The former Quickpark site, owned by property developer Gerry Gannon, has been closed since 2020. Competition regulators blocked a bid to buy it by airport operator DAA earlier in 2024.

Various bidders vied for the site in 2023 amid a public row over the shortage of parking space.
