A man in his 40s has died in hospital, following a serious assault in Clonsilla, last weekend.

The assault occurred at the entrance to a car park on the Clonsilla Road, shortly after 11:00pm last Sunday.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with this incident and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station.
