Gardaí are investigating shots fired at two homes in Co Galway in the early hours of Tuesday.

Reports were made of a firearm being discharged at two residential properties in Ballinasloe at around 3:50am.

No one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and information, and have asked anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured saloon car at St Grellan’s Terrace or the surrounding areas to get in touch.

Anyone who was in the St Grellan’s Terrace, Brackernagh or Ballinasloe areas between 3.30am and 4.30am and may have mobile phone or dashcam footage is asked to share it with gardai.
