The collision involved one vehicle. Two occupants of the car, the male driver (20s) and a male passenger (20s) were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers of the car, a man and woman aged in their 20s, were taken to St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
