A report of masked men pointing a gun at a resident in east Belfast is being investigated.

The PSNI said they received a report that at around 9.30pm on Thursday two masked men called to a property in the Channing Street area where they pointed a gun at a resident.

“The victim was able to push the men away before calling police,” they said.

“Luckily no-one was hurt but the residents have been left badly shaken by their ordeal.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have noticed the men in the area or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with inquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1720 23/01/25.
