There is 641 people waiting for a bed in Irish hospitals on Tuesday morning, according to the Irish Midwives and Nurses Organisation (INMO).

452 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 189 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

At University Hospital Limerick, there is 82 people waiting for a bed. There is 28 people in the emergency department, with 54 on trolleys elsewhere in the hospital.

There is also 82 people on trolleys at Cork University Hospital, with 71 people in the emergency department.

At University Hospital Galway, there is 57 people on trolleys, with 44 patients in the emergency department.
