39 properties in Dublin were seached as part of an investigation into organised crime gangs in the Coolock and Raheny areas.

They are operating nationwide and are suspected as being involved in organised crimes including burglaries nationwide, drug trafficking, counterfeiting, theft and other property crimes.

Over 150 Garda members from the DMR North, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Garda National Economic Crime Bureau, Operational Support including the Garda Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit are involved in the operation.

There was also additional support provided by the Garda National Public Order Unit.

Gardaí say the operation remains ongoing.
