Appeal for witnesses after man (30s) dies the day after unreported collision in Galway

Gardaí in Co Galway are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle traffic collision that occurred in Clarinbridge on Thursday.

An unreported collision involving an SUV occurred on the L4102, a minor road at Slievaun, Clarinbridge, shortly after 9:15am on Thursday, January 9th.

The sole occupant of the car, a male in his 30s, was subsequently discovered deceased at his home in Clarinbridge the next day.

The local Coroner was informed and a post-mortem examination was arranged. Following the post-mortem, gardaí commenced a fatal traffic collision investigation.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have examined the vehicle and the scene of the collision.

Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

They are also urging motorists with dash-cam or video footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact them.
