138 admitted patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick on Monday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

69 were waiting in the emergency department while 69 waited in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The organisation's trolley watch showed that a total of 663 admitted patients were waiting for beds in Irish hospitals on Monday morning.

439 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 224 waited in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

At Cork University Hospital, 55 patients are waiting for beds, while 51 are waiting at Univeristy Hospital Galway.

31 admitted patients were waiting for beds at both Portiuncula Hospital and Sligo University Hospital, while 30 waited at Mercy University Hospital, Cork.

At St Vincent's University Hospital, 45 admitted patients were waiting for beds. 39 were waiting at Naas General Hospital while 34 waited at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.
