Gardaí have charged a second woman in connection with the seizure of €91,000 of herbal cannabis in Navan, Co. Meath on Friday.

Gardaí arrested a woman in her 30s in connection with the investigation.

She has since been charged and will appear before before Trim District Court at a later date.

Earlier, a woman in her 20s arrested on Friday in connection with the investigation was charged.

She is due to appear at Trim District Court at a later date.

The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, and Revenue Customs Service seized approximately 4.55kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €91,000 in Navan on Friday.

The operation involved a number of residential properties in the Navan area.

Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing.
