Taking place on Sunday March 30th, 2025, the 13.1-mile race starts on O'Connell Street and takes runners out through the north of the city, finishing back in the city centre.

Dublin City Council is an official event partner for this new addition to the 2025 race calendar, which is organised by the team behind the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Race Series

The race theme is Run Together - Thrive Together and organisers welcome runners of all abilities.

Speaking at the launch event, the Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain said: “This event is the perfect opportunity to set one of your New Year's Resolutions! I look forward to supporting the runners as they take on the half-marathon challenge in our fantastic city and showing my support for their incredible efforts”.

Entries are now open on the event website here.

The entry fee is €68, which includes a finisher's t-shirt, a medal, and the postage of race numbers.

Jim Aughney, the race director of the Dublin City Half Marathon, said: “We look forward to bringing a top-notch event to the streets of Dublin and are excited to partner with Dublin City Council to make this Spring Half Marathon event a reality."
