A man is to appear in court in connection with the death of a man in New Ross, Co. Wexford.

The body of a 58-year-old man was found following an incident on Tuesday December 31st.

Two men were arrested over the man’s death on Tuesday.

A man in his 30s, who was arrested in connection with the investigation, will appear before a special sitting of Wexford District Court on Thursday night, where he will be charged.

The second individual arrested has been released.

A post-mortem examination was carried out by the state pathologist on Wednesday and preliminary results have been provided to the investigating team.

Details of these results are not being released for operational purposes.
