Second man charged in connection to assault of off-duty Gardaí

A second man has been charged in connection with the serious assault of two off-duty gardaí on Dame street, Dublin on Saturday.

He is expected to appear before Dublin District Court on Thursday morning.

One of the officers remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital following the attack.

Another man appeared in court on Tuesday charged with two counts of assault causing harm and one count of robbery.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
