Two men, one aged in his 80s and the other in his 50s, have died following a fatal house fire in Littleton, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Gardaí attended the incident, which occured at approximately 2:30am, with fire services. Fire services extinguished the fire.

The men were pronounced deceased and their bodies remain at the scene.

Gardaí said the scene is currently being preserved for technical examination and investigations are ongoing.
