A man has been charged in connection with a fatal assault after a man in his 70s was found dead near the Dublin-Meath border on Thursday.

The man's body was discovered after gardaí were called to a house in Tobersool near Balbriggan in north county Dublin.

A 29-year-old man arrested at the scene is expected to appear before a special sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice later on Saturday.
