The owners of the Tower Hotel in Waterford said it will be business as usual over the Christmas period, following a fire.

The blaze broke out in the kitchen next to Hobson's Restaurant at around 10am on Tuesday morning.

The hotel was completely evacuated, and the fire was brought under control, with crews checking the building.

Waterford Fire Service and gardaí attended the scene.

No injuries have been reported.

In a statement, Neville Hotel Group said usual business will now resume and all future bookings will proceed as normal.
