Gardaí have arrested two men over a drug seizure in Limerick City.

€560,000 worth of suspected cocaine was seized on Friday during searches at a number of locations under Operation Tara.

The discoveries were made after gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle where €490,000 worth of suspected cocaine was seized.

In a separate search of a property, suspected cocaine valued at €70,000 was seized.

The two men, aged in their 40s and 60s, are being held at a Garda station in the Limerick area.
