A man has been arrested after €110,000 of cocaine was seized in Limerick city on Wednesday.

This followed searches carried out at four residential properties in the Garryowen area.

During the searches, gardaí seized cocaine with a street value of over €110,000 along with 11,000 Alzopralam tablets. A number of rounds of firearms ammunition and a small sum of cash was also seized.

A male in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained under the provisions at a Garda Station in Limerick.

All substances seized are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.
