What the papers say: Thursday's front pages

The funeral of One Direction star Liam Payne featured on the front pages of many Irish newspapers on Thursday morning.

The Irish Times reports that Fine Gael’s Paschal Donohoe held a private and previously undisclosed dinner with Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary in February 2022.

The paper's front page also features a piece on how the Cabinet was given a stark warning on Wednesday about potentially damaging economic fallout for Ireland from the unsettled global situation and the return of Donald Trump to the White House in 2025.

The Irish Examiner leads with Tánaiste Micheál Martin saying Donald Trump will impact Irish plans, adding that spending promises must adapt to external shock.

There is a 'reluctance' to install new bins in Cork city, according to some local representatives, The Echo reports.

The Irish Independent reports that house prices are unlikely to fall in the short term despite the plethora of election promises, according to an expert.
