Michael O'Leary said over the weekend that teachers should not be hired to "get things done" at a Fine Gael event, causing upset within teaching groups and government alike.

The Ryanair boss doubled down on the remarks on Monday, saying that there are "too many teachers in the Dáil, and they are not “the best people to deliver the kind of change and enterprise we need”.
