Three men have been arrested in connection with 29 burglaries across Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon, Longford and Westmeath.

The men were arrested in Dublin on Tuesday after searches of four properties in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

During the course of the searches, property was seized which is believed to be the proceeds of organised criminal activity, which included a role watch, designer handbags and shoes and a substantial amount of cash.

Other property recovered included mobile phones, multiple car keys and log books of vehicles.

Three men, aged 26, 21, and a juvenile were arrested and taken to Garda stations in Mayo, Roscommon and Longford.
