Agricultural land sold for median price of over €9k per acre last year - CSO

In 2023, 60,344 acres of agricultural land were sold nationally at the median price of €9,084 per acre, according to Agricultural Land Prcies 2023 from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The national median price of arable land was €16,275, while the national median price for permanent grassland was €8,887.

Dublin and Mid-East regions had the highest median prices per acre of €15,048 and €14,398 respectively.

The lowest median price per acre was €6,745 in the West region.

The highest volume of agricultural land, 13,637 acres, was sold in the West region.

The lowest volume of agricultural land sold was in the Dublin region, 127 acres, and South-East region, 5,199 acres.
