A man in his 20s has been charged after a weapon was seized in Dublin on Saturday morning.

Multiple armed units responded to reports of a firearm being discharged in the Vincent Street South area at 11:30 am.

He will appear before the Criminal court of Justice at 10:30am on Monday morning.

A second man who was arrested has been released and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
