A teenager has been injured following a shooting incident in Limerick city.

The incident happened on Sunday night in Ballinacurra, Weston at 8pm.

A man, in his late teens, was injured following the incident.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition remains stable.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
