Gardaí in Co Donegal have arrested two people following a suspected stabbing last night.

The incident happened at a house in Ballybofey around 9pm.

A man in his 30s was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital after he was set upon with a weapon.

His condition is not yet known.

Gardaí rushed to the scene and arrested two people, a man and a woman.

They have confirmed that two suspects have been arrested as part of their investigation.

A spokesperson confirmed “The man and woman (both 20s) are currently detained at a Garda Station in Donegal under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Investigations ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.
