Man arrested and around €136,000 cannabis herb seized in West Dublin

A man was arrested and approximately 6.8kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €136,000 was seized in West Dublin on Monday.

As part of a joint operation with Revenue officers, personnel from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the K District Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service carried out a search of a residence in West Dublin.

A man (20s) was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a Dublin garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
