Body of cyclist discovered in Co Roscommon

Gardaí are investigating after the body of a cyclist was discovered in Co Roscommon.

The man in his 50s was discovered at around 2am on Sunday at Cloonchambers, Castlerea.

His body was taken to Roscommon University Hospital where a postmortem examination will take place.

The road is closed for technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
