A young man from Mayo will be representing Ireland in the first-ever Swiss Mullet Cup.

Trevor Hyland will compete against mullets from all over the world for the chance to win a year of free Mullet Tea, a hard iced tea company based in Switzerland.

He could also get a ticket to Europe’s largest festival dedicated to the infamous haircut: Festival de la Coupe Mulet.

The winner will be announced on September 27th. Following the worldwide competition, an extensive selection process will determine which mullets deserve to be featured in the Mullet Parade on October 6th in Martigny, Switzerland.

Despite being up against creative and colourful mullets from across the globe, Hyland has an edge as he bears a striking resemblance to the mascot that is plastered upon every can of Mullet Tea.

Voting is open until September 26th, so if you want to show support for Mayo’s Trevor Hyland you can vote on the website here.
