Two boys in Waterford have been injured in Waterford after they were struck by a car on Friday morning.

The incident happened in St John’s Park at approximately 8:45am.

The two children have been conveyed to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of their injuries.

The road of the collision, off the R708, is closed at this time and Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene.

Gardaí say enquiries are ongoing.
