A woman has been arrested after €60,000 worth of MDMA was seized by gardaí in Louth on Friday.

This followed an operation involving An Garda Síochána and Revenue officers which led to the seizure of approximately 1kg of methamphetamine.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested and is currently being held in a Garda station in Louth.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
