There were a total of 321 patients waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals on Friday morning.

The INMO (Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation) Trolley Watch figures show 229 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 92 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There were a total of 55 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 36 at both Sligo University Hospital and Cork University Hospital, and 34 at University Hospital Galway.
