Harris to meet Tusk in Poland following Kyiv trip

Taoiseach Simon Harris is to discuss European security with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszow on Thursday.

Mr Harris will hold a bilateral meting with Mr Tusk on his arrival in Poland following a day of engagements in Ukraine.

They are expected to discuss cultural and economic links in the context of EU membership.

The two leaders will discuss the upcoming term and institutional changeover in the EU and Poland’s presidency of the EU next year.

The Taoiseach will brief Mr Tusk on his meeting in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

They are also expected to discuss the security situation in Europe, including along Poland’s border with Belarus.

They will also discuss the war in Gaza.
