A man has been arrested after €170,000 worth of drugs were seized in Cork.

Gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle in the Mitchelstown area on Monday.

During the course of the search, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €170,000 was recovered.

A man aged in his 30s was arrested and is currently being held in a Garda station in Cork.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
