Man charged after woman in her 80s dies from road crash injuries

A man has been charged in relation to a road crash in which a woman in her 80s died.

The collision happened at Inver in Co Donegal on Sunday.

The woman, who had been receiving treatment at Sligo University Hospital, died from her injuries on Wednesday.

A man in his 50s was arrested and subsequently charged by gardaí in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on Thursday morning.
