Police given extra time to question man over murder of woman in Derry

Police have been granted additional time to question a man over the murder of a woman in Derry.

Montserrat Martorell, 65, was found dead in an apartment in Derry last Saturday.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of her murder on Monday.

On Wednesday, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said detectives have been granted a court extension for an additional 18 hours to question the man.
