Gardaí are investigating after a man was found with serious injuries in the Balbriggan area in the early hours of Saturday August 10th.

A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating after a man was found with serious injuries in the Balbriggan area in the early hours of Saturday, August 10th.

The man was removed from the scene to Beaumont Hospital by ambulance and later died on Sunday, August 11th.

A post mortem was subsequently completed and the results of which are not being disclosed for operational reasons.

A woman aged in her 40s was arrested in Balbriggan on Tuesday morning and is currently being detained in a Garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
