Two men, aged in their 30s, who were taken to Cork University Hospital last night with serious injuries, remain in a serious but stable condition.

Gardaí have charged the two men who were arrested following an assault that occurred in Dunmanway, Co. Cork on Saturday evening.

Two men, aged in their 30s, who were taken to Cork University Hospital on Saturday night with serious injuries, remain in a serious but stable condition.

Two men, aged in their 30s and 70s, were arrested on Saturday and are due to appear before Bantry District Court on Monday afternoon.

The scene has been examined by a Garda Forensic Investigation team and gardaí are appealing for information.
