A man has died in a collision between a car and a truck on the N7 in Dublin.

The collision occurred at approximately 9.00am on Saturday between junction 4 and junction 5.

A passenger in the car, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car has been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for a forensic investigation with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
