A woman has been arrested in connection with an incident outside the Taoiseach’s home.

The arrest came as part of an investigation into an incident at Simon Harris’ house in Co Wicklow on May 2nd.

A woman, aged in her 50s, was arrested in connection with the incident on Thursday morning.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí arrested a woman for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act, as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged harassment of an elected representative on 2nd May 2024.

“The woman, aged in her 50s, is currently detained at a Garda Station in Co Wicklow under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

“An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time.”
