A man has been charged with assault which occurred on Marlborough Street in Dublin 1 on Monday.

A man in his 40s was injured at the junction of Marlborough Street and Cathedral Street on Monday afternoon.

He was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident.

He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Tuesday morning.
