A motorcyclist in his 30s has died following a road crash in Co Longford.

The single vehicle crash happened at around 1:15am this morning on the Longford to Drumlish road.

The road remains closed as Gardaí carry out a technical examination and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward, especially anyone with camera footage of the area.
