A man has been charged in connection with a fire in Longford Town.

It broke out at a premises in the early hours of Sunday the 28th of July.

The man who has been charged after being arrested is in his 50s.

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Longford District Court at a 5.45pm on Friday evening.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing into the incdient.
