There are a total of 487 patients waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals on Tuesday morning.

The INMO (Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation) Trolleywatch figures show 353 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 134 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There were a total of 103 patients based in University Hospital Limerick, 49 at Letterkenny University Hospital and 46 at Cork University Hospital.
