Two people have been arrested after drugs and cash were seized by gardaí in Limerick following searches this week.

During a search under warrant at a number of residential locations in the St Mary’s Park area of Limerick City on Wednesday, cannabis worth €100,000 was seized.

In a follow-up search on Thursday, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000, and €250,000 cash were seized.

A further search was conducted on Thursday at a residential property in St. Mary’s Park area of Limerick.

Quantities of cocaine, cannabis, and heroin with a combined value exceeding €220,000 (analysis pending) were seized.

The drugs seized will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s were arrested as part of the investigations, and are currently being held in Garda stations in Limerick.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
