There are 482 patients waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals on Wednesday morning.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation's (INMO) Trolley watch figures show 344 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 138 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There are 108 of those patients based at University Hospital Limerick, 54 at Cork University Hospital and 45 at University Hospital Galway.
